Port Access Package 1.0

Purpose:

The Primary purpose of this wrapper library is to help to use the Classic 'C' like functions - outportb and inportb in languages platforms such as Microsoft's Visual C++ , Visual Basic along with Java and assembly languages like MASM32.
The goal this project intends to achive is to develop an effective language independent wrapper for Beyond Logic's PortTalk Windows NT I/O Port driver.

• Output 8 bit data to any of the 12bit port address
• Input 8 bit data from any of the 12 bit port address
• Detect the OS present on the System
• Automatically install Kernel Mode Driver in WinNT/2000/XP
• User controlled UnInstallation for the Kernel Mode Driver
• Basic Binary manipulation operations for Visual Basic

• Microsoft Visual C++ :
• Windows 98/XP , PIII 600MHZ , 64MB RAM
• Microsoft Visual C++ 5.0/6.0
• The final project build EXE needs to be packaged with distributed along with the .sys and the .Dll files

• Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 recommended

  • General Uninstaller - Written in MASM32 to uninstall the driver and its entry in the System for all Implementations.
  • VbInstall  /   Vbuinstall - Written in MASM32 to Remove files from System Directory of the Windows OS.
